Tour Overview:

Enrich your knowledge of American history with this inspiring trip to the Massachusetts countryside, where the classroom lessons of the Revolutionary War come to vivid life. This private guided & chauffeur tour takes you to the very spots where the fight for American independence began. You’ll stand on the historic Lexington Green, hearing the story of the colonial militia who bravely faced the British Army on April 19, 1775. From there, we’ll journey to Concord’s bucolic North Bridge, where colonial Minutemen “fired the shot heard ‘round the world.” Surrounded by beautifully maintained colonial-era homes and rolling fields, this experience is an unforgettable history lesson. We’ll also delve into the 1800s to hear of Concord’s famed Transcendental authors, offering a rich, multi-layered historical experience.

In Lexington, You Will:

• Tour the monuments and historic markers of the Battle Green.
• Visit The Old Burial Ground.
• View a diorama of the battle, executed by a military strategist (subject to availability, typically 9-5).
• See colonial homes of historic significance.

In Concord, You Will:

• Visit the iconic North Bridge and the Concord River.
• See the famous Concord Minuteman Statue.
• Stop by the homes of renowned authors: Louisa May Alcott’s Orchard House, the Ralph Waldo Emerson House, Nathaniel Hawthorne’s home, and the Old Manse of the Emerson family.

Optional Add-Ons:

Customize your tour with these special additions. Please allow an extra 30 minutes for each.

• Walden Pond: Add a visit to the site of Henry David Thoreau’s famous experiment in simple living.
• Authors’ Ridge: Extend your tour with a stop at the cemetery where the Alcott, Emerson, Hawthorne, and Thoreau families are interred.

• Pricing: The cost is per group, making it an economical choice for families and small parties.

Departure & Pickup:

• Pickup is available from various downtown Boston hotels and other specified locations. Your exact pickup details will be confirmed the day before the tour.
• Please be ready at your designated location at least 10 minutes prior to the agreed-upon time. We have a strict 10-minute waiting policy. If you miss your pickup, no refund will be issued.

Cancellation Policy:

• For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the tour’s start date.
• This experience requires good weather. In the event of a cancellation due to poor weather, you will be offered an alternative date or a full refund.
